The Church and the Kingdom of God

Who do you pledge your allegiance to? By not consciously choosing, you still choose. ‘Choose you this day whom you will serve.’ This is a great sermon about what the Kingdom of God is really like.

Church by danMat 16:18-19 “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”

The word church in Greek is ‘ecclesia’. It means ‘a group of people,’ in this case, Christians. It’s applied to a specific congregation in a city or a group of people in a particular city or a term given to the whole body on earth. Jesus died for the church, the entire body.
