I love the story of Esther. This sermon talks about how it applies to our lives today. Enjoy!

edmund_blair_leighton_-_con_amoreEsther 4:13-14 “Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king’s house, more than all the Jews. 14 For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

Esther is a book about God being in control of every circumstance, good and bad. He can even control the insomnia of a king.

Esther is a story about a king whose queen fell out of favor with the king. So, he held a beauty contest and Esther was chosen as the new queen. She didn’t tell the king immediately that she was Jewish.
