We Have One Father

The Life Church

Mal 2:10 “Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?”

1 Cor 8:6 “But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.”

Jesus said we would know the end times by the signs that we see, hatred, strife, wars, racism, discord. People will be deceivers and break their promises.

Malachi says that we have one Father, God who created us.

One thing that separates us from traditional religion is an understanding of who God is. There is only one God, the mighty God in Jesus. God walked the earth in the flesh of Jesus. Jesus is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Knowing Him for who…

Principles of the Garden

The Life Church

Gal 6:7-10 “Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. 8Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. 9 So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. 10 Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.”

2 Cor 9:6 “Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop.”

This is mostly speaking about finances as in Luke 6:38 “Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in…

Exodus or Egypt

The Life Church

Ex 14:10-12 “And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the Lord. 11 And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt? 12 Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness.”

480 years Israel knew only bondage. They had a home, but they were captive. They were clothed but confined. They were in anguish but beaten. They had sustenance but were filled with sorrow. They had…

Who Do You Love?

The Life Church

Deuteronomy 6 – 5And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

Matthew 22 – 37Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38This is the first and great commandment. 39And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

Mark 12 –…30There is no other commandment greater than these.”; Luke 10:27W

“I love you” holds true to the adage “easier said than done.”  It’s so casually thrown around and watered down, so let’s run it through the strainer and sift out the important things to know about love.

  • God
  • Your Neighbor (strangers, acquaintances, friends)
  • Brother (someone with…

He Called Us Out

The Life Church

John 15:1-2 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. 2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.”

Jesus said He was the one with the resources and power. If we abide in Him, we’ll have access to those resources and power.

John 15:16-19 “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. 17 These things I command you, that ye love one another. 18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. 19If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but…

The Rocks Cry Out

The Life Church

Joshua 4:4-7 “Then Joshua called the twelve men, whom he had prepared of the children of Israel, out of every tribe a man: 5 And Joshua said unto them, Pass over before the ark of theLordyour God into the midst of Jordan, and take you up every man of you a stone upon his shoulder, according unto the number of the tribes of the children of Israel: 6 That this may be a sign among you, that when your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean ye by these stones? 7 Then ye shall answer them, That the waters of Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of theLord; when it passed over Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut off: and these stones shall be for a memorial unto the children of Israel for ever.”

Luke 19:40 “And he answered and said…

The Congregation of the Dead

The Life Church

Ez 37: 1-14 “The hand of theLordwas upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of theLord, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones, 2 And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry. 3 And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O LordGod, thou knowest. 4 Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of theLord. 5 Thus saith the LordGodunto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live: 6 And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall…
